CommUnityCare Hancock is designed to deliver same-day acute care services. Hancock offers walk-in care seven days a week including holidays and weekends, from 8:00 am to 8:00pm. Our goal is to provide immediate care services in support of your home clinic by accepting overflow patients. In collaboration with patients, families (as defined by the patient) and staff across all disciplines and departments is responsible for providing routine nursing care within the limits of nursing knowledge, education, experience, and ethical, legal standards of care and for assisting in determining predictable healthcare needs of patients in a community healthcare center setting.
12 hour shifts from 8am to 8pm. Three 12 hour shifts/ 36 hours per week.
Variable schedule. Clinic is open 7 days per week. Rotational weekends.
2 or more years of Registered Nurse experience in an Emergency Department, Urgent Care or Convenient Care (Walk-in) Clinic.
Experience as a Registered Nurse triaging patients either to prioritize level of care or increase level of care, which may include the Emergency Department.
Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting transferring patients to a higher level of care.
Demonstrated experience in recording and reporting accurate information.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple nursing activities at once.
Demonstrated experience with direct patient services and the proper knowledge and use of medical devices and equipment.
Demonstrated familiarity with tools, technology, and systems typically found within most health care environments (i.e. personal computer skills, spreadsheets, word processing, patient records systems, EMR systems, etc.).
