In collaboration with patients, families (as defined by the patient) and staff across all disciplines and departments, the Licensed Vocation Nurse will serve as a Clinical Technician for a cancer prevention program, funded by the Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), to increase colorectal cancer-screening rates among the CommUnityCare patient population. This individual is responsible for supporting the goals of the program and providing routine nursing care within the limits of nursing knowledge, education, experience, and ethical legal standards of care and for assisting in determining predictable healthcare needs of patients in a community healthcare center setting.
This is a three (3) year grant funded position and will be a co-hire with the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School.
