Overview

The Business Intelligence Analyst will act as a junior level analyst with an understanding of the organizations data, working with stakeholder groups to create dashboards, visualizations, algorithms, and business tools for use across the organization. This includes aiding various teams in drawing insight from our data by researching, compiling, and analyzing data and preparing various reports for distribution. This analyst will act as an Epic subject matter expert for front/back-end Epic reporting development.

 

***This position is considered remote, which meansthat individualsin this position may work at their place ofresidence; however, they may be required to occasionally visit the CommUnityCare administrative office in Austin, Texas. Remote work not available for residents of California, New York, New Jersey, Hawaii, Maryland, or Virginia.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Support the organization by gathering, organizing, formatting, and analyzing various forms of clinical and organizational data.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining data gathering systems for demographic and clinical data.
  • Gather data from various internal and external data sources.
  • Analyze data to determine trend, discrepancies or other project‐specific information.
  • Interpret research findings and assist in preparing recommendations, as needed, in support of upper management decision making.
  • Compile reports for various internal customers, grantors and external agencies.
  • Works with the Cogito project manager, Radar administrator, and Reporting Workbench administrator to complete reporting build. Works with the Cogito project manager and business intelligence developer ﴾BID﴿ to identify appropriate solutions for various reporting needs.
  • Works with the Reporting Workbench administrator to review and approve existing Reporting Workbench templates and create any needed additional templates.
  • Builds Radar dashboards for report consumers with the support of the Radar administrator
  • Builds Reporting Workbench reports, templates, and extracts for the application.
  • Develops reports and dashboards to support clinical and revenue initiatives long-term.
  • Completes Radar setup for custom SQL metrics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or related quantitative discipline.

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 yearsof experience in healthcare, statistics, experimental research, data science, reporting and analytics, economics, or public health.
  • 2 years Experience of 2 years or more in a related field (healthcare, statistics, experimental research, data  science, economics or public health) will be considered in lieu of degree.

 

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
 Epic certification required within 6 months of hire.
 Must meet CommUnityCare’s Epic pre-assessment criteria.
