Overview

Within CommUnityCare's Project Management Office (PMO), the Project Manager will manage various projects supporting CommUnityCare's mission of strengthening the health and well-being of the communities it serves. The Project Manager may provide support to any of CommUnityCare's strategic projects including development of sustainable care models and training for various clinical service lines, such as womens health, primary care, pediatrics, dental and intensive outpatient care. The Project Manager will report to the Chief Strategy Officer and will work closely with the Care Model Department and other health center team members. All projects require gathering and interpreting data, developing and maintaining project schedules, maintaining and properly controlling project scope, collaboratively implementing projects, efficient group facilitation, monitoring project budget, mitigating risks and understanding of lean process improvement principles.

 

This position is considered hybrid, individuals in this position may work both at an approved off-site location and onsite at a primary location or multiple locations based on business needs.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Develop project work plans and manage and coordinate projects to include establishing work plans, leading team activities, managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project
  • Work with project team members or subject matter experts to define project scope, goals, resource requirements, timelines, and deliverables
  • Continually monitor and report project progress to stakeholders, identifying risk points and proposing solutions or escalating to leadership as needed
  • Identify risk points and propose solutions to problem areas; appropriately escalate issues that jeopardize the success of projects
  • Analyze programs or operations to determine how they affect other programs or operations and whether/how they could be better coordinated
  • Document existing operations or workstreams and analyzes potential changes to maximize coordination or efficiency.
  • Participate in strategic or operational planning exercises for the CommUnityCare
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

 

Knowdge of:

  • Project management principles
  • Clinical and administrative healthcare operations and, ideally, funding models
  • Principles and practices of business strategies, objectives, planning, development and management processes and process improvement
  • Short and long-term budgeting and forecasting

Skill in:

  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent performance analysis and problem resolution skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to reconcile differences
  • Strong customer service mindset in working the internal and external customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to understand complex data and relatively technical information

Ability to:

  • Develop and manage project documentation to support implementation through completion and/or scaling.
  • Work under minimal supervision, with a high capacity to multitask
  • Collaborate and coordinate effectively with key internal/external stakeholders, medical staff, administration, community partner agencies, regulatory agencies, and the public
  • Communicate complex information in clear and unambiguous terms to stakeholders, including Senior Leaders, other community stakeholders and health center management
  • Work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment while also driving toward clarity and solutions
  • Develop approaches for implementing an idea

 

People Management/Department Management/Business Unit Management:

  • Direct service line operations and execution of initiatives, goals and programs.
  • Manage implementation of new service line initiatives and ensure coordination of strategy and initiatives.
  • Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Leads complex organizational change efforts
  • Responds proactively to employee and customer needs and concerns

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

 

Bachelor's Degree

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION: 

 

Master's Degree

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

 

3 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree

1 year of related experience with a Master's degree

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

 

Ideal candidate will have experience in a clinical environment, either in an administrative or clinical capacity.

Ideal candidate will have experience in a lean management oriented team and understanding of process improvement principles.
