This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 2 days on-site on a weekly basis.
In collaboration with patients, families (as defined by the patient) and staff across all disciplines and departments, the
medical assistant will serve as a care coordinator for a cancer prevention program, funded by the Cancer Prevention
Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), to increase colorectal cancer‐screening rates among the CommUnityCare patient
population. This individual is responsible for supporting the goals of the program by preparing the screening kits and
mailing them to eligible patients as well as communicating with care teams as related to the program.
This is a three (3) year grant funded position and will be a co‐hire with the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical
School.
